Title: Leadership in Global Environmental and Healthcare Crisis
Dr. Tolani Olagundoye is a clinical assistant professor at the University of Rhode Island. Tolani works
to prepare young people to be leaders in the global environmental and health care crisis. Tolani
is a URI Cooperative Extension faculty member and director of the Rhode Island 4-H youth
development program, she provides educational programs and experiential learning opportunities to
undergraduate students and youth throughout Rhode Island. Her work with the youth and
undergraduate students involves developing hands-on programs, projects, and opportunities in
science, agriculture, public engagement, and health for youth and families from diverse backgrounds.
She also desires to pursue personal and professional development and to refine her skills
as an educator and a pharmacist. To educate youths, students and others about strategies for improving
the environment and healthcare for all, and to help develop mentally, socially, and environmentally
responsible leaders.
